Meeting between Armenian and Georgian teachers

On March 19-20, 2016 within the “Youth voice for change and development” Armenian and Georgian cross-border project implemented the first meeting in Marneuli between the directors and teachers of the schools involved in this program.

The goal of the meeting is to get to know each other, discuss and make possible ways of working together, propose ideas, combine the resources of schools and communities which are involved in this project for further effective cooperation. pave the way for students and schoolchildren who will work together in the next few month and realize their ideas.

During the meeting the participants once more have been presented the goal of “Youth voice for change and development” Armenian and Georgian cross-border project. For the participants from Armenia there is a cultural part - tour to old Tbilisi. They also visited Bolnisi-Khachen Ghasaros Aghayan's House Museum.

“Youth Voice for Change and Development” project is implemented in Georgian Marneuli and Bolnisi and in Tumanyan and Stepanavan regions of marz Lori in Armenia with the support of "Society of Democratic Women of Marneuli” NGO, “Centre for Community Mobilization and Support” NGO, “Civitas Georgca” NGO and European Union.

Мeeting between 2 countries' young representatives of communities and the leaders of this project within the framework of “Youth voice for change and development” Armenian and Georgian cross-border project

On March 12, 2016 in the office of CCMS (Centre for Community Mobilization and Support) NGO was held “Youth voice for change and development” Armenian and Georgian cross-border project’s first meeting between 2 countries' young representatives of communities and the leaders of this project.

The goal of the meeting is to get to know each other and make clear mechanism of working together. Participants were once again presented the project’s goals and future activities.

Under the program, the next meeting will be in Marneuli (Georgia) on March 19, the meeting will be attended by directors and teachers of the selected schools from the communities of two countries'. By the end of this month will be another meeting between leaders of the project, directors and young representatives of communities.

Արդյոք ծնողներն ընդգրկված են կրթական գործընթացում

Women Against Breast Cancer

On February 18, 2016 in the office of CCMS (Center for Community Mobilization and Support) Women’s Resource Center Armenia NGO conducted “Women Against Cancer” training within the framework of “Women's issues in marzes” project. The project’s goal is is to promote the empowerment of women and girls and raise awareness about women's rights issues in the marzes, create a platform for cooperation between men and women. This program consists of 5 small programs, “Women Against Cancer” training is a part of them. The goal of this training is to raise awareness among vulnerable young women and girls about causes and prevention measures of cancer breast.

Focus group discussion in Haghpat

On February 10 CCMS (Centre for Community Mobilization and Support) conducted monitoring of children's rights  by “Civil voice and action” methodology, which was held through focus group discussions.

Schoolchildren, their parents, service providers, teachers and GTC members, representatives of local self-government body took part in the discussion.

The goal of the focus group discussion is to collect the information needed for the project which is based on the participants' own opinions and observations.



 

Focus group discussions were held in 3 different groups: schoolchildren, teachers and service providers. The discussions were conducted by CCMS NGO director Oleg Dulgarian, social workers  Lusine Israelyan and Tigran Mkhitaryan.

5 qualitative indicators underline the focus group discussion which are about the problems of children protection.

This initiative is being implemented by CCMS NGO and “World Vision Armenia” IDO under the “Community Support” program. Focus group discussions are also organized in other communities.Qualitative indicators are scored on a scale of 1-5. Then the participants of the focus group discussion made a reform plan which will be developed  and implemented a monthly monitoring of its implementation by the community members.
