Armenian-Georgian cooperation

On August 25-29 in Haghpat community of Lori marz took place youth cross-border cooperation workshop. Five days long 20 young people from Armenia and

 

 

 

 

Georgia's border regions discussed current level of cross-border cooperation and the development opportunities.

 

During the workshop the following results are achieved

1.  The top ten directions of Armenian-Georgian cross border cooperation were selected

2.  Cross-border cooperation projects have been elaborated for the implementation of joint cross-border projects in education, healthcare, environmental protection, media and other fields.

3.  A decision was made to have active participation on state youth policy making process and to offer and fix cross-border youth cooperation in the state youth policy strategy of RA.

4. The achieved results will be published in the form of informational resources and will be provided to young non-governmental organizations operating in the border regions of Armenia and Georgia and active groups.

The 4th day of the workshop was hosted by the Director of "Youth Events Center" SNCO David Hayrapetyan, who presented the State Youth Policy of the Republic of Armenia and answered a number of participants' questions.

The workshop implemented by Centre for community support and mobilization NGO with the support of Sport and Youth ministry of Armenia and Youth Events Centre. The workshop was supported also by “Society of Democratic Women of Marneulii” and Civitas Georgia  NGOs.
